Happy Tuesday, faithful readers! It's Day Two of SWIMMING SLOTHS WEEK here at slothoftheday, and this beautiful morning brings us a brand-new water-soaked sloth who's not so much tiptoeing through the tulips as gliding through the fallen leaves. He looks so content, though, they may as well be tulips. Or maybe he prefers leaves. Who can know? Maybe you can ask him when he gets to the other side. You might have to wait through a few naps, though.

It's SWIMMING SLOTHS WEEK!
Yes dear readers, today we introduce to you a whole week of photos featuring your favorite tropical mammals making their collective way through various bodies of water. Paddling, floating, diving, splashing, and breast stroking are all game here at slothoftheday. And today's sloth is more than happy to start us off with a refreshing slothypaddle in the blue, blue water. Just close your eyes and pretend you're in Costa Rica! (It's pretty easy -- we do it every day.)
We'll be back tomorrow and all week with swimming sloths!

Love is in the air!
This is what sloths keep telling you! Make a friend! Hug a tree! Send good thoughts out into the universe and keep your ears peeled; you never know what will happen. Happy beautiful spring weekend from all of us at slothoftheday. We'll be back on Monday with a new themed week!

Maybe everything that dies, someday comes back
At least that's what today's sloth believes. If you have evidence to the contrary, we ask you not to tell him; he's happiest this way, slowly swinging between branches and awaiting the reincarnation of all his best friends, flora and fauna alike. And don't even think about borrowing his copy of "Nebraska". It won't end well.

The true meaning of slow food
Today's sloth sometimes worries that her ambition has gotten the best of her and she's bitten off more than she can chew, but then she remembers... there's no rush. Ever. She can chew as lackadaisically as she'd like, linger over morsels, and even nap between swallows. No one's gonna bother her, or tell her to hurry up. They're all somewhere else sleeping off their lunches. How nice it must be.

Some things are meant to be together
Seriously, have you ever seen a better combination than wicker and sloth? Not to mention that face. It's enough to launch a thousand ships, way more impressively so than some lady-human a million supposed years ago. Today's sloth wouldn't be caught dead being blamed for starting a war. He'd just like to cuddle you and show you his backyard. You'd be obliged to do it, too.
