We could all use a hand once in awhile.

Long day? Tiring week? Feeling overwhelmed with the amount of things to do and places to be? Today's sloth understands, and is herself reaching up for a little help. Send her some happy thoughts (or a rope) so she can get what she needs... it's never too far away.

Sometimes it's so hard to get out of bed.

And that's why today's sloth is bringing bed with him. Specifically, his favorite stuffed dog. It helps ease the chill of a cold winter morning, and looks great with his just-tousled hairdo.

Good afternoon campers, and wishing you a very happy post-holiday laze from all of us here at slothoftheday! Today's sloth had a little too much whiskey pudding last night, which enables her to doze while clinging to her favorite tree. (As if you needed more evidence re: the superiority of the species. Pssht.)

Today's sloth is thankful for blankets and fabrics of all kinds. He wants to curl up on your feet and watch you eat, then steal your leftovers while you sleep it off.

Listen, it's New York City - rent is high, landlords are shady, and unpleasant surprises are rampant. Today's sloth doesn't mind that you're moving again. She won't judge you, and she has no preferred neighborhood. She just wants to come along, and maybe steal your pillow. So don't break her heart; give her a good home!

Everyone knows that three-toed sloths are the best. Nicer and slower than their two-toed counterparts (and with tails!), three-toeds are known for their sleepy grins and appetite for greenery. Here, a human attempt at three-fingered communication. Solidarity forever!

They give us clean air, pleasing scenery, and enriched soil. Also, they're great places for sloths to hang. Today's sloth wants nothing more than to dangle and grin at you. Toss him a smile; it's free!

Today's sloth is full of vigor and ambition, with a bounce in her crawl and a wicked sense of direction. She knows the best abandoned roads, and she's packed plenty of leaves for the trip. But go ahead and finish your tea; you might have awhile.
