Sloths are going on one more vacation for the summer, so they are saying goodbye and will be returning to you next Monday!! But they can't tell you where they're going... shhhh, it's a surprise. Take it easy and we'll see you in September.

Today's sloth is hunkering down and preparing for the worst hurricane to hit the Northeast in twenty years!! And she's brought along her favorite pair of human massaging hands to help her through the rainy, stormy weekend - as well as her stockpile of food, water, candles and flashlight batteries. Best of luck to everyone and we'll see you on Monday.

Happiness!! That's how today's sloth feels, because she just can't find anything to worry about. Some mornings are just perfect, and she'd like to share her love of the world with you by showing you a little tongue. Try it, and see how far it gets you. Happy Wednesday!!

Today's sloth had some scary dreams last night, involving god and death and being totally detached and out of his body while he watched himself do crazy stuff. He's a little freaked out right now. Won't you give him a hug to bring him back down to earth?

Today's cuddly sloth family comes from a long tradition of vaudevillian performers, all of whom are very famous and who do their routines very slowly. Can't you just see them in little top hats and canes? Give them your full attention and a big hand - they work hard for the money!! Happy Friday from all of us at slothoftheday.

Today's sloth has had his share of partying and is ready for a brisk, challenging workout! You can tell how excited he is by how quickly he climbs toward the sloth gym. The earnest face! The forward-facing claws! He can barely contain himself. Go take yourself for a little jog - you'll thank us. Promise.

It's late morning, everyone has gone to work, the house is quiet and today's sloth is kicking back in her favorite tree for a little mid-day snooze. When the opportunity affords, you should take advantage of it. We here at slothoftheday do it whenever possible... which reminds us... we've got our blankets ready and we'll see you tomorrow.

Please line up and deposit your myrrh, frankincense and any other kinds of herbs or oils in the basket to the left. Donations to the Infant Sloth Vitality Fund will also be accepted, and will be used to maintain a strict diet of vegetation and love until the sloth is big enough to care for itself. Thank you for your patronage and please come again.

Today's sloth had an absolutely fabulous weekend of swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and motorboat tubing in a beautiful Northeastern lake and is so refreshed and happy that he can't help but hang upside down for sheer joy. I think he said something about not righting himself until at least tomorrow. That's fair, we think - as long as he brings us photos.

Here we are and welcome to the last day of SLOTHS EATING WEEK! We hope you've been entertained and inspired by the hungry little buggers as they crunch and chew their way through the world around them. Lackadaisically, of course. Today's sloth is going to town on some delicious-looking yellow flower. Mrrragghghhghfflaflaflffggbmmph. And then maybe she'll go to town, for real. How else will she get her claws on the perfect refill? Look out for her at the farmers market!!

Especially when eaten upside down. Did you know there are special vending machines in the jungle that dispense leaves and vegetables from the top, so wandering mammals like today's sloth can hang off of them and nibble on a snack just like this? It's amazing. Thanks for tuning in to day three of EATING SLOTHS WEEK and we'll catch you tomorrow!!

And we've got an adorable little two-toed nibbling on some beautiful tropical flowers. Mmmm... just looking at them makes us thirsty for some hibiscus iced tea. So tangy and bright, so good for what ails you. What will you eat (or drink) today to keep the heat away?

Hello and happy Monday to all our faithful readers... more every day, it seems. We're starting another theme week here at slothoftheday, that of sloths eating! Cause they're so damn cute when they do it. (Plus we couldn't find any photos of sloths drinking.) Today's sloth is carefully attacking what looks to be a cantaloupe rind, cause he knows the benefit of a healthy fruit breakfast as well as any of us. He doesn't find them often in the jungle, though. So this is a rare treat.
Tune in tomorrow for more delicious slothy eats!!

We're fed, watered, packed and ready to go!! There's nothing better than a late summer Friday afternoon spent lounging in Central Park, and today's sloth knows that from direct experience. How else do you think his cheeks got such a rosy glow and his eyes such a happy sparkle? Take a tip and go enjoy some public greenery today!

We know, we know, it's Monday and you can't be blamed for losing track of a thing or two after such a long hot weekend. But seriously, you can't just leave the house without your sloth. He'll be so sad and will just look at us like this allllll day until you return to pick him up. Please, have some compassion.
